MAN Truck & Bus UK is set to unveil two new all-electric rigid trucks – the eTGS 20.449 and eTGS 28.449 – at this year’s Road Transport Expo (RTX), taking place from 24th to 26th June at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. These UK-first appearances mark the latest step in MAN’s journey to decarbonise road freight transport.

The eTGS 28.449 6×2 and the eTGS 20.449 4×2 models offer 28,000 kg and 20,000 kg gross vehicle weight solutions respectively, powered by a 330 kW electric motor and capable of 375 kW DC charging. Both models feature MAN’s latest OptiView mirror-replacement system, safety assistance technologies and fully equipped sleeper cabs in Arctic Blue Metallic.

Stefan Thyssen, managing director at MAN Truck & Bus UK, said: “The RTX Show is a key event in our calendar and as a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, it’s an event that enables us to both showcase and demonstrate our products and importantly, meet with customers and industry friends. Twelve months ago, we used RTX to premiere our all-electric tractor, the eTGX, and for 2025, we will mark another milestone in the decarbonisation of freight transport by showcasing two new all-electric MAN eTGS rigids.”

Visitors to stand Y2 will also see the MAN eTGX tractor in both standard and Bannister Transport liveries, the flagship 640 PS TGX 26.640 Individual, the TGS 35.480 tipper, and a wide selection of updated TGE vans. This includes the new TGE 3.180 panel van and all-wheel drive 3.200 variant, as well as the low-frame TGE 3.140 Luton built for ease of urban delivery.

In addition to the product displays, MAN is offering Ride and Drive opportunities with its latest eTGX and TGE vehicles, supported by the ProfiDrive® training team. The ride and drive zone will give attendees a chance to test vehicles on public roads with expert guidance.

The MAN TopUsed programme is also represented with two ex-fleet TGX tractors on show, both refurbished to high standards and available with warranty options. One of the trucks on offer, a TGX 26.510 in Traffic White, features a flagship GX cab and over 326,000 km on the clock.

Thyssen added: “When the gates open on Tuesday morning, the 24th of June, we will be ready to welcome customers and friends with a nice barista made coffee. If you’re visiting the show please call in and say hello, the MAN Truck & Bus UK team looks forward to seeing you.”
