A Derbyshire logistics company, H Crabtree Ltd, is giving back to the community it has called home for more than six decades.
H Crabtree Ltd, based in New Mills, was founded in 1961 and has since expanded to open a hub in Wiltshire.
In 2004, the family-run business became a founding member of Wolverhampton-based logistics network Pallet-Track.
The company has grown steadily, winning new business through standardised nationwide logistics services and sophisticated delivery tracking.
Alongside this, H Crabtree has remained committed to supporting the local community by helping groups and events in and around New Mills.
Each year, the business donates a vehicle and driver to local performing arts group Take Part, supporting the town carnival and providing a stage for its annual show.
H Crabtree also supplies a stage for the town’s Christmas lights switch-on and has backed a speed awareness course run by local police.
Transport manager and director Steven Hall said: “We show our support where we can for the local community and are keen to help even more than we already do.

“When we first joined, we were inputting around 70 pallets a night, now we are hitting the 170 mark.
“It’s such a reliable network and means we can keep up with the ever-growing demand from our customers for consignments to arrive next day or even, same day.”
Pallet-Track chief executive Stuart Godman praised H Crabtree’s dual focus on business growth and community contribution.
