EWM Transport Limited has opened its third operational depot at the Port of Felixstowe, marking a key milestone in the company’s continued expansion across the UK’s major container logistics hubs. The new site reinforces the firm’s presence in one of the country’s busiest ports and strengthens its ability to meet growing customer demand.
The Felixstowe depot joins existing sites at Southampton and London Gateway Port, supporting a fleet of 40 owned vehicles alongside dedicated subcontractors operating from the Suffolk coast. In total, EWM Transport now runs more than 100 container vehicles daily, providing haulage services to import and export customers across the UK.
Greg Barr, director at EWM Transport, said: “2025 has been a strong year of continued growth for the business, and the opening of our Felixstowe depot is a significant milestone. It positions us closer to one of the UK’s busiest ports and enables us to offer even greater flexibility and reliability to our customers.”
With depots now located near the UK’s principal deep-sea ports, EWM Transport offers nationwide import and export haulage solutions, including coverage from Felixstowe, Southampton, London Gateway and Tilbury. The expansion allows the company to deliver efficient and responsive transport services tailored to the demands of international trade and domestic logistics.
The move forms part of a wider growth strategy that has included senior appointments this year, with Paul Kingsford-Bere and Jamie Rose joining the leadership team. Kingsford-Bere, general manager, said: “When I was approached to join EWM Transport, the opportunity was immediately compelling. The business has a strong track record for service delivery and operational excellence, and it’s exciting to help drive that further as we grow.”
With further investment planned and continued expansion expected in 2026, EWM Transport is consolidating its position as one of the UK’s fastest-growing container transport specialists.
